My First Tiny Step In Machine Learning, A Journey In Data Science - EP. 1
Hello Stemians!
Today I'll start a series on my blog about me learning basic data science and machine learning during my spare time at home (I'm a househusband with a looot of spare time. Haha). I have a very limited knowledge in programming, I mostly self-taught myself by tinkering Wordpress plugins & theme for my businesses.
Why now? Why start this journey?
2 days ago, I stumbled upon a post by @kevinwong about Numerai (NMR), and down at the bottom of that post he talks about a machine learning course on Udemy (and he offered to subsidize the fee for anyone interested in that course). I was intrigued, so I went to check it out. Oh wow, I knew the instructor (Kirill Eremenko) from way back in my Forex automated trading years! He's a great instructor for that topic I must say. One of the easiest decision to make, so I purchase that course in a heartbeat. Thanks a lot @kevinwong for the 5 SBD gift!
What will I do with all these information?
Honestly, I don't know what to expect. It could be too hard for me grasp with my limited knowledge in programming. I'll try my best to make use of it and share my journey here on Steemit. I've always wanted to visualize property/real-estate market data, especially in my home country Malaysia. A tool that scrapes property price and visualize it in a chart, with prediction and forecasting. Am I aiming too high this time? You tell me.
