Question:

Imam Ramli Rahimahullah, asked about reading the letters of al-fatihah that accompanied the prayers after the prayer, whether it has the argument of the sunnah? or is it a new practice that has no basis in the past? And if it is a new practice does he belong to good deeds or hateful deeds? and if it belongs to a makruh affair is it advisable to repent to the one who reads it?

Answer:

Truly reciting the fatihah that accompanies the prayer after the prayer has a landscape in the sunnah, while the reason is very clear because fatihah has a lot of fadhilah. Rasulullah SAW. said: "Surat al-Fatihah The Book depends on the Throne, there is no hijab with Allah."
And inside it contained some traits that were not in other letters, so the scholars argue that all the content of the Quran is listed in the letter al Fatihah. Surat al-Fatihah consists of 25 sentences that contain all the science of the Koran, because in al-Fatihah include praise and praise to Allah Azza wa Jalla with all the properties of his perfection and beauty, al fatihah also contains the command to worship and sincerely in worship, and weak confession in worship except with the help of Allah, and al-Fatihah also entailed God in obtaining guidance to the righteous and righteous path, and also includes the consequences of those who deny it.
Part of the glory of Surat al-Fatihah is indeed Allah SWT. dividing al-Fatihah between His and His servants, and only the righteous prayer with the recitation of al-Fatihah and no one is equivalent to the Fatihah Fahala, for this reason al-Fatihah is called Umm al-Quran, and also because of the many names of names for him to be one reason of glory because the number of names refers to noble things, and because some of the names of the letters of al-Fatihah are: letters of prayer, letters of munajah (curhatan), tafwidh letters (surrender), and al-Fatihah can also be used for meruqyah, can be as a medicine. Because Rasulullah SAW. said: "al Fatihah is a cure for all sicknesses." And the scholars said: "when you are sick or groan / complain you must read Fatiha, because he can heal him."
