Starred down into a vulcan
A couple of years ago I spent some time in Nicaragua. My family and friends all warned my about safety. "Is it really safe there. You take carr etc." We europeans we grow up so protected and under the illusion of safety, that we become hesitant to dare new things.
I climbed up to Mount Telica the vulcan you can see on the picture. I starred down into its crate and could see a glimpse of glowing magma. There was no railing, a wrong step when you are to close and you fall. I am still here a breathtaking experience richer.
We all can learn valuable lessons if we every now and than do things differently than we used to.
P. S. Telica erupted 10 days after my visit.
