"Apocalypse Merchant: Selling Supplies to Survivors and Zombies"
The First Transaction
When the System announced [Daily Mission: Earn 1000 Credits by Sunset], I didn't expect my first customer to be a Category-3 Zombie.
The mutated creature dropped a Rolex and a human finger on my makeshift counter. Its guttural voice surprised me: "Exchange... for... antibiotics."
My [Universal Translator] skill activated:
[Zombie Customer Status:
Infected but conscious
Willing to trade
68% chance of attacking if refused]
I slid the medicine across the counter. "Special discount today - just the watch will do." I discreetly palmed my hidden pistol. "Keep the finger."
The zombie's grotesque face twisted into what might have been gratitude. As it left, the System updated:
[New Faction Reputation: "Zombie Neutral" unlocked]
[Human Survivor Reputation decreased by 300 points]
Outside my fortified trailer, a group of armed survivors watched the interaction with horrified expressions. Their leader cocked his shotgun. "You're trading with the enemy now, merchant?"
I smiled, tapping my [Price Gouging] skill. "Bullets are 50% extra for judgmental customers."
🗨️ Discussion :
In an apocalypse, is pragmatic survival more important than moral boundaries? Would you trade with zombies if it kept you alive?
Is there any follow-up?
