Forest in Nepal

Our country Nepal is rich in natural beauties, gifts, resources, and wonders. The forest is one of the necessary resources for each and every people living in various areas. People clear the forest for various purposes. One of the important causes of the destruction is rapid population growth. People cut down the trees for the firewood, building materials, and furniture and for making the medicines, domestic animals eat up the newly growing plants.

Preservation of forest is necessary for the controlling natural disasters or calamities. Forest destruction invites many disasters. Some of them are landslides, soil erosion, overfloods rivers and lakes, pollution, desertification, etc. The natural disasters as such are extremely destructive for all the living creatures.
