Approach to sport fishing

I felt the need to write something and start a new area that I think can be very useful for people who are approaching fishing for the first time, or who want to try to see if this sport can please or not, but without buying hundreds of euro of equipment and, above all, leave with wrong advice... Or, why not?, for all those dads who want to bring their children to fish and let them entertain for a few hours.

Let's say that fishing is easy and fun, but you have to start on the right foot. Let's see how.

First of all, fishing doesn't require a lot of money: with a 50/80 euro kit, we can try it. I believe that this is the minimum expenditure to be incurred in using decent fishing gear that is at least worthy of the name.

What does it take to start fishing?

Fishing equipment:

1. Basic fishing rod, bolognese 4/5 meters long and a whirlwind 2000 0 3000 (which would be the size)
2. A coil of wire, a float, plumbing and hooks
3. There must be a scissors or nail clippers, a fishing pliers, which will also act as a slamator if necessary, and a slamator in the box or vest.

Of course, the basic box will have to be expanded with more tools, but so we can already start.

1. A cap with visor (also recommended for polarized sunglasses, sometimes the reflection of annoying water and with polarization you can see under the water coat)

3. Comfortable shoes (there will be to stand upright)

Let's try the first time in a pond

To try to fish for the first time, it will be better to go to a sport fishing pond, where we are sure that there are fish and that our prey will be trout.

So let us define the basic equipment more precisely:

1. A Bolognese barrel from 4 to 5 meters (4.50 meters throw or casting power from 5 to 15 grams) the 4.50 would be ideal
2. A whirlwind containing at least 100 metres of 0.16 0 0.18 thread.
3. Floats ranging from 3 to 6 grams of 0.50 gr plumbstones (at the beginning they are more comfortable)
4. Love of 6 or 7, even if they are good also of 5 (which are bigger)

The baits can be found directly on site: at the pond you will be provided with them when paying for the fishing permit, which ranges from 15 to 25 euros (depending on the place) for 4/5 hours of fishing.

We might also think that if you have a river or lake nearby, you want to try it directly there. In this case, you will need a government license (more info here) and the FIPSAS license (to check if you need it). In Veneto the total cost is about 60 euros (validity one year).

For clothing, however, nothing changes. For equipment it may change a lot depending on the prey, so the first thing to do is to know which fish are present.

The 4/5 meter barrel could be universal; pay attention to casting, however. We may need thicker yarn or larger hooks. Let's say that generally speaking, however, with a few extra euros we can change the equipment to be used.
We prepare the equipment

Do we have the equipment? Let us then prepare it. With the PescaOk fishing kit you'll already have everything ready to use; otherwise, if you already have the barrel and the reel with the wire mounted, prepare the frame as follows.
Once the wire has passed through the tube rings, insert the float. Depending on its weight, we can say that if you have 3 grams of float, put 5 or 6 0.5 plumbs at a distance of about 5/7 cm from each other, then put the hook at the end.

As an alternative to plumbing, you can use torpille, which are tapered plumbs in which the wire is inserted. Combine a single one of the weight corresponding to the weight of the float, after the float itself and before the hook, blocking it at the end with a lead shot so that it does not reach the hook, the total weight must be equal to the weight of the float.

I'll tell you that, the bigger the float you put on, the more weight will increase the lead, and the further away you can throw. Let's see what can be useful to you:
