The Boss and the Pimp..

in #politics5 years ago

Boomers hailed Springsteen as the savior of Rock & Roll..I never exactly understood that..A three chord musician thrust to the front lines and highly promoted by the music industry..He wasn't much as a musical talent but even less so as an 'Intellectual Giant/Artist'..His renegade introduction was a common Boomer rallying point "Born to Run". His rebellion was justified..the 'Establishment' was solidifying itself and positioning itself toward Global Dominance..Sadly his next claim to fame 'Born in the USA', though spiking a vein of Patriotism in his adulating fans spawned his lifestyle of the 'Rich and Famous' and it took precedence in 'The Boss' life..Addiction to fame and fortune had turned him into an Establishment 'yes' man.

Enter 'The Boss'

Everyone knew 'The Donald'.. A Star in his own right. 'The Apprentice' was a huge success..America was tired of hearing the SOS from the assemblage of self-serving politicians..Never shy and very aware of the general populace' disillusionment with dishonest, self-aggrandizing politicians..Well here we are today and I'm smiling here in my isolation from the 'horrifying' Pandemic and can hardly wait for his next act..Maybe I'll watch an old Apprentice rerun..to this day I've never seen a single episode
