Even if a foreign government agrees to allow an immigrant back into the country, there is no guarantee that U.S. court cases for the parent or the child will be resolved at the same time, allowing them to return together. Adults are being tried in criminal court for illegal entry, while children are held in facilities run by the Department of Health and Human Services as they go through their own immigration case, in most cases without a lawyer.

My thoughts on this news
So the Republican party and ICE are now kidnapping children from immigrant parents. The way this works is the parents are arrested and prosecuted for crossing the border illegally, if they have children with them those children are taken from them and locked up in a different detention center at a different location or them may end up in a foster home anywhere in the country. After the parents spend time in jail and their court case is complete they most likely get deported back to where they came from, but when that happens they may not even know where their children are currently being held. So they are forced to leave the country without their children. Prior to April this did no occur, families were not separated, they were held together in detention centers to await trial. So Trump's Republican party of Christian family values has decided it is a better policy to take children from illegal immigrants. This is inhumane and child abuse, not to mention the amount of additional cost tax payers pay to have these children locked up and shipped all over the country instead of just having them stay with their parents to await trial...

There is no need for this to occur, they can be kept together until the trial and deported if so decided by the court system, this is how it has always been done until recently the Trump administration decided to separate them...

You are probably not aware of that... but anyway I am not saying they should not be sent back, that is for the court system to decide at their trial, I am saying there is no reason for the children to be taken away from their parents while they await trial with a possibility of not getting them back when they are deported. What the Trump administration is doing now actually leaves the children in the country either in a detention center for children or a foster care facility while their parents get deported...
