The Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Diaspora Matters, Obong Joe Etukudo has congratulated the new president of the Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria USA Inc, Ms Margaret Itauma on her emergence as he described her victory as pronounced and timely.

The youth leaders further stressed the need for women participation in leadership pointing that they are innovative, focused and result oriented.

In his words " I want to specially congratulate the new AKISAN President, Ms. Margaret Itauma for her emergence. You see, it is very pleasing to have Akwa Ibom Women rise to greatness and participate actively in leadership. They are very innovative, focused and result oriented "

Etukudo stressed the commitment of His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel in partnering AKISAN to deliver dividends of democracy to both her members and the Akwa Ibom people at large.

"We have a Governor whom we all know has pledge unflinching support to the cause of AKISAN and the development of the good people of Akwa Ibom State generally "
