An Introduction to the European race - Pagan Books by Varg Vikernes (spoilers)
This introduction will cover both books, Sorcery and Religion in Ancient Scandinavia and Reflections on European Mythology and Polytheism. In both of these heartwarming and rightly magical books Varg Vikernes, the family man, father, slayer of dragons, trolls and worse delves into what it really means to be European. In both books respectably, this includes the telling of our true history, culture, genetics and charm.
In Sorcerery and Religion in Ancient Scandinavia, the reader is transported into the world of Europe in what can be described as neither the beginning, nor the end. This is because to Europeans, the world is not created in such a way as of yet to be systematically understood but is from my interpretation, to be simply in existence. Because there is no creating myth in European polytheism, the author naturally reconstructs the thought pattern of the European man as he advanced to explain how it reflects the expansive religion of pagan polytheism that still widely survives in Europe and by that, ALL white countries till today.
In both books the relevance of paganism is shown to us in our every day life, as can be seen through so called "catholic holidays" that were stole from use, the 7 day week concept the world now shares worldwide, new years, the Olympics, so called "Christmas" and so on.
Paganism can even be found in the thousand year old (or perhaps older) fairy tales like Cinderella that were secretly told by our European mothers continually even after Christians came to Europe at the end of the roman empire and outlawed paganism or "unchristian" things of any kind across Europe.
Even after Middle Eastern Christians came to Europe and spread its ilk over time subverting and destroying semblance of European society, culture and polytheism in what we now coincidentally know as the dark ages, paganism survived.
Even as pagan sorcerers, or as the Christians called them, witches (which were really just practicing pagans) were burned at the stake and all religious sites were burned down and housed on top of the ashes with large churches the spirit of European identity in Europe still prevailed.
As talked about in the book, it even got to the point were all things pagan were burned by Christians, including our history. The archived, mainly perverted remains were locked up in monasteries away from the public by Christian law/authority were only volunteers or (if you can believe it) children, that were stolen from dissident parents at a young age were forced by Christians to vow to never have their own children so as to further ensure the knowledge about their own identity and history/culture that was hoarded away from the public in monasteries was never seen again.
-On a side note, one has to wonder what the Vatican and at that all the other descended judeo Christian elites are hiding away from us till today.
Despite all of this and more European identity and traditions at their core prevailed and as Christians continued to swallow Europe up and even copy their own religion and market it to them in the form of Catholicism, the Europeans people themselves simply migrated away in great historical numbers to the far cold reaches of Scandinavia and even outside Europe. This period would later be called the viking age, however to this day is not acknowledged by the primarily Christian historians to be the cause of Christianity spreading its plagued (literally) hands over Europe.
Ah yes, there is much to be read in these surprisingly small books of only around one hundred pages each.
They are both equally self discovering journeys that if in the case that you are European, may just help you to rediscover yourself and who you are. Indeed, quite nostalgically at that to boot!
