Water Wars
I kid you not!!!
Two months ago I moved to a supposedly idyllic seaside town. Warm water, palm tress and endless beaches.
What I have experienced is no internet connectivity, no cell phone reception, no power, potholes that are literally craters and now......day 9 of NO WATER!
I'm going to post the issue up as a link because its just ludicrous!
South Africa, a lawless self serving governance. What a waste of a beautiful country with amazing people, all because of greed!
Please note that due to intimidation by the illegal strikers that we have almost no access to water, except from kind farmers, local business people with their own tanks.

"WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION UPDATE: 03/11/17
Water supply services continue to be hampered in most areas falling under Ray Nkonyeni, Umzumbe, Umdoni and Umuziwabantu local municipalities due to a prolonged withdrawal of labour by our staff members.
UMDONI:
We have received reports of numerous broken pipes which has resulted to no water in the Malangeni Community.
RAY NKONYENI:
The 375-mm pipeline remains unrepaired. Water supply therefore continues to be affected in the areas of Shelly Beach, Uvongo, Margate down to Ramsgate, Nositha and Gamalakhe, Murchison, Betania to Nyandezulu amongst other areas. Contractors who were working on this break were intimidated thus leaving the repair process incomplete.
The areas of Southbroom to Port Edward and inland areas of Izingolweni, KwaXolo, Nzimakwe, Mbeni amongst others also remain without water.
UMUZIWABANTU:
Several scours were found to be open which has dropped the levels of reservoirs. Most areas under Umuziwabantu currently do not have water. Area manager on site in an effort to build up systems for normal water supply to resume. Please also note that the quality of water in this area is being closely monitored by our technicians.
And as we continue to engage with our workers in an effort to break this impasse, restoration times for the affected areas at this point is unknown, however, communities will be kept updated on the latest developments as we are hopeful that we shall break the ensuing standoff.
Thanks,
Sphelele"
Reality: we have no access to water.
This impacts everyone! Hospitals cannot function, schools, businesses. It's a national disaster that's being kept under wraps because of gross intimidation and who knows what other corrupt tactic.
I cry for my beloved country.
