How to Get Kicked Off a Plane: Speak Arabic

Two Arabic men were accused of skipping security checks, and other claims, in order to get them thrown off a Thomas Cook flight in Manchester.

How would anyone know that these two skipped security (if that would be even possible)?

It seems the real reason is from fear.

Two English women made up these claims, not because they saw them skip the security, but because they heard some men speaking Arabic. One unnamed witness said: “Two innocent Muslim men were marched off plane and searched as two English ladies refused to fly with them on the plane."

They also made other false claims to get them removed from the plane, saying the Arabic men were "making gestures" and "going to the toilet to use their phones".

The two men were later cleared at security, again, and booked on another flight.

The fear of an ethnic group is still strong. I guess for some passengers it's better to be "safe than sorry" in their m inds, and not be anywhere near Arabic people. Just make up lies and get them off your plane, then it's not your problem anymore, right? Forget about the problems this causes those people who are falsely accused, and the delay it causes in the original flight.
