Today Trump held his first post-election press conference in advance of his inauguration on the 20th of January. The first 15 minutes of the press conference centered largely around an intelligence document published by Buzzfeed yesterday alleging Trump had cultivated substantial political ties to Russia and the Kremlin.

Trump lambasted Buzzfeed as a "failing pile of garbage", citing numerous other news agencies who had read the report and chosen not to publish what were clearly unsubstantiated allegations. Trump also engaged in a further altercation with CNN's John Acosta, one of the few new agencies who had chosen to republish the story, in which Trump refused to answer his question and called his agency "fake news".

The growing hostility between the leftist media and Trump has continued to escalate since the election and the number of allegations made against him and his associates has increased as the date of inauguration draws nearer. Trump's tone in this press conference clearly signals a willingness to continue to challenge the leftist media narrative as he begins to work on implementing his policy.
