NC Governor makes executive order requiring wearing masks in your own home

I can't believe this state voted this guy back into office in November. I also know that there is no way that most people are going to comply with this and it is also pretty unenforceable. It just makes me a bit angry that he would make such an absurd order and also that anyone out there would think it is ok for a politician or anyone else to think that they can tell you what to do inside of your own home.

I have no intention of complying.

The mask debate thing is something that has always irritated me from the start because of all the conflicting information out there surrounding it and how it became political right from the start. Almost without exception, wearing masks and supporting them became a lefty thing, and not wearing them became a righty thing. Then of course there is the fact that even those that advocate for masks agree that unless they are worn in a very specific manner and unless they are a specific kind of mask, they stand very little chance of helping you in any real capacity anyway.

I always think about the masks that we wear when we are doing construction (this is my job). Despite the fact that the masks we wear are of much higher quality and have far higher filtration capabilities than a vast majority of the masks you see people wearing on the streets, particles sometimes still make it through and around the sides. Now consider the fact that a virus is thousands of times smaller than the construction detritus that I deal with on job sites and my disbelief in a bandana stopping a virus is there in a "right in front of my face" type way.

Other restrictions include no more than 10 people gathering indoors or 50 outdoors. The people of NC made their disgust known when many more than 50 people gathered outside the governor's mansion, most maskless, to express their disgust in his executive orders and to show they have no intention of obeying.

Just like most of these politicians that are out there telling you how to live your lives, they only apply the rules to themselves when the cameras are on and the above picture is just one of many where the man himself is violating the rules that he wants to enforce upon the rest of us. Our rulers are tyrants and hypocrites.

I know our local law-enforcement personally, and our Sherriff has indicated that he has zero intention of enforcing this decree on our community. You get what you vote for folks. I am still in awe that this man got re-elected (or did he? - I don't have much faith in our republic or its processes these days)
