Transcript of Censored Oxford Union Whistleblowing Panel - Heather Marsh #OxfordUnion #CIA #Censorship
Activist Heather Marsh was censored by @OxfordUnion on order from CIA #DavidShedd #OxfordUnion #CIA
In a debate at Oxford Union, censorship would have been used to repress the remarks made by panelist Heather Marsh against David Shedd, a former CIA agent. Heather Marsh is a philosopher, programmer and human rights activist. She is the author of Binding Chaos, a study of mass collaboration methods and the founder of Getgee, a project to create a global network of data sharing and trust. She lectures on mass collaboration, democracy, economics and other social issues.
Marsh, a human rights activist, confirmed that the entire debate had been censored. As a journalist, she has written numerous independent articles, and from 2010 to 2012 she was the only editor and administrator of the Wikileaks-sponsored news site, Wikileaks Central. As an activist, she has launched many very successful human rights campaigns. As a philosopher, she has given numerous interviews to media and academics, written books and essays, and lectured in many countries.
In 2018, she was invited to speak at the Oxford Union, which claims to be "the most prestigious society of debate in the world" and "the last bastion of freedom of expression". The video of his speech was censored by order of a former CIA official and director of the American DIA. She always knows how to focus on human rights and horizontal governance. Of the human rights abuses she has worked on, a very large number are associated with David Shedd and the organizations and allies he represents.
The Oxford Union serves as a safe space where powerful men who do horrible things can go to speak and be appreciated. Lawmakers refuse to conduct a competent investigation and hide accusations of rape by politicians. The law on official secrets, defamation legislation and "intellectual property", which protect only powerful agreements, are not accessible to those who can afford them, guarantee elites a class that may or may not be criticized or offended. The endless debates of conservatives now complemented by "feminism for diversity", NGOs and politically paid journalists are presented as a "balance". It is in this context that Heather Marsh was invited
She told the audience of Canadian citizen, "Omar Khadr was abducted at the age of 15. He was subjected to the most horrific torture on the CIA black site in Bagram, then was trafficked and tortured for a decade at Guantanamo Bay before facing a full trial in an invented court. It is deeply uncomfortable for me to be here today, on the same panel as someone whose work has established and worked to normalize ever-increasing drone murders, black site disappearances and torture. I hope it is uncomfortable for all of you as well, and for him. The hell of this Canadian kid for 12 years has been led by the organizations represented by David Shedd.
Shedd wants to crush the whistleblowers. Warning against the adoption of laws against whistleblowers, which she defines as anyone who challenges and denounces or exposes the powerful. These would eventually be used against anyone seeking to bring to justice those in power for the crimes committed. We let's hear already have so many international laws protecting our human rights, our rights to freedom of expression, our right to knowledge, our right not to be tortured and murdered, our right to a fair trial, and they are all ignored.
David Shedd was part of the world's most powerful, best-armed and most organized organized crime syndicate, organized to date with weapons, not counting other organizations to which he is affiliated. Only by watching the CIA, they are carrying out assassinations, they are running black sites for torture, they are working with local mafias, cartels and militias, programs in progress. These are just some of the things the CIA has done. They are part of a vast criminal network that is now planning an even bigger expansion.
During the debate, Marsh asked Shedd why he do nothing of the ICE internment camps in the United States ? Shedd responded by asking Marsh which camps she was referring to. Describing the US military and security personnel as our brave men and women, Marsh interrupted him to call him torturers. Shedd then told Marsh to stop interrupting him and resumed his theme "Our brave men and women, dedicating their lives".
When these men talk about whistleblowers threatening national security, we need to ask ourselves three obvious questions : what is their security, who is their country and who are the whistleblowers ? So, because we are dealing with criminals and members of criminal organizations, what they mean by security is immunity from criminal prosecution. They do not protect us but they are protecting themselves."
