在德州扑克牌桌上，我们常常会因为跟住了一些不应该跟的牌而输掉大底池，以下是一些个人总结，什么时候不应该跟注。
People always like to call rather than folding. We may lose a big pot if we tend to call with some hands which should not. Here is a brief summary for cases in which we should fold rather than call.
- 你知道有人在咋呼 / you realize someone bluffing
试想这样的情况，在一个普遍入池范围松的局里。打到了翻盘，你在前位，没中牌选择过牌。对手们大额下注。没人击中牌的局势是非常诱人的。此时的你没什么牌力，但你不想让对手偷池。根据之前的信息积累，你确定肯定有人在诈唬。接下来还有两轮下注环节。你可能想先跟注，在专牌可以过牌加注进而拿下底池。实际上，最好的选择应该是在翻牌时弃牌。除非你有牌力或位置上优于对手，否则不管在什么样的赛事中最好选择弃牌，即使对手在诈唬。
Image this case, in a relative loose game. When it comes to flop. You are in pre position. You don't get promoted by cards on board. You check. The players after raise. Based on the information you accumulated in previous games, you are pretty sure someone bluffing now. You call on flop and try to check and re-raise to force your components fold in turn cards. However, the best choice here is folding your cards. Since you are in bad position as well as weak cards. It is negative EV to catch bluffing in this case.
- 终于拿到强牌 / Finally get strong cards
试想你在桌上已经黑了很久，实在没有可以入池的手牌。此时你突然拿到了底牌AJs。拿到了强力的起手牌并且自己在CO位，位置很好！你在想应该加注到几个大盲，但是几个前位玩家都来势汹汹：枪口率先加注到4个大盲，后位玩家再加注到10个大盲，第三位玩家平跟10个大盲，然后轮到你行动，也行你会想我这么久终于拿到一手能玩的牌，这手我应该跟。但这真的是一个很愚蠢的想法。很久没入池根本不应该是你入池的理由，因为你在后位，位置的优势已经让你得到了足够多的信息，在这样的牌况中AJ真的不占优势。从前面三位选手的行动来看，他们手里很可能有能主导AJ的牌或者是大手对，这里你绝对应该弃牌。
Here is the case, it's not your day today. Your cards are too bad to support you join board. Finally you get AJs and you are in cut-off position. You are thinking how much you should put here. However, the player under the gun raise 4BB at first. And there is following player re-raise 10BB here. The third player flat call. Now, it's your turn. You may think I should call at least since I haven't joined the game for a while. I can't fold AJs. That's really stupid here. Your position has already let you know that your components have super strong hands here. You should use the information you got here. They have highly change have cards like AK AQ or pocket pairs here. So you'd better fold AJs in this case.
