the smells and sights
a combination
of tethered import
the connection severed
to the original
the originator
the individual

deep in the fires
we smelted the ore
and created the metal men
the figures of steel
to guard against
all future spirits
who detain
inhabit
and depress
the sands of time.

impressions
forgotten
a talent long ago
shredding the remains
into unrecognizable bits
pieces of a past
expanding forever out
into infinity.
