Illusion of Loneliness
Poet: Mubina
By: Mubina Masood, Lahore
The seldom tugs of silence,
The mystic waves of ignorance,
Creates an illusion of emptiness,
Often mistaken as loneliness.
The sadistic use of words,
The blatant ties with denial,
Creates an illusion of emptiness
Often mistaken as loneliness
The absence of gratitude,
The dream of greener patches,
Creates an illusion of emptiness,
Often mistaken as loneliness.
The diversion from spirituality,
The sheer lack of trust,
Creates an illusion of emptiness,
Often mistaken as loneliness.
The ignoring of blessings,
The pain of memories,
Creates an illusion of emptiness,
Often mistaken as loneliness.
The whispering of kindness,
The offering of helping hands,
Removes the illusion of emptiness,
Often mistaken as loneliness
