A Man In The Woods - (An Original Poem)
He stands alone in the woods
The stream splashes
Leaves rustle
An eagle shrieks
What has brought this moment upon this individual
Circumstances only so perfect
He is captive in his own mind
Distracted by the physical
Attempting to understand the spiritual
Lost in thought, a man of the land
Trying to understand what he does not
Trying to share what is not physical
Taking in the outside, learning on the inside
One eye sees what one eye sees
Truth is truth until it is not
Everything is as we perceive through our senses
Realization is rare, Life is not
The sun falls, the man sleeps
The stars will guide him through physical and spiritual
Sky berries of knowledge
Twinkling and sweet
Tranquility surrounds and peace ensues
The man sleeps a deep sleep
The weekend will soon end
Reality will wait until the next
stanza one sets the scene nicely
