Poem: Accountability
Book: Journey Through Perception, (Activation Phase II: Internalized Reflections)

Background: This poem was the result of 2 years of exhausted political activism. I realized that real change meant real accountability. I quickly realized that the political characters I cheerleaded for were susceptible to compromise and to bring about change that wasn’t necessarily instant, meant that every individual had to take responsibility for their actions. That meant I had to take personal responsibility for my actions and ultimately create the change I wanted.
