German Poetry
I listened to this wonderful talk by Andreas Dorschel on Joseph von Eichendorff. He talks about the beauty of the poetry comparing the landscape of the words with the landscape of humanity. The movement of the words reflect the movement of nature which reflect the inner movement of man. Below is also a painting by Caspar David Friedrich called The Monk by the Sea (1808-1810) that Dorschel references in his lecture. It is roughly 30 minutes in length with a Q&A that follows. Enjoy!
