দূরের আকাশ, দূরের পৃথিবী
আমি জানতে চাই না গ্রহের গতি
সমুদ্র সৈকত বা সীমান্তরেখা।
আমি দেখতে চাই
জীবনের কাছাকাছি অঞ্চল
নরম শ্যামল ছায়া, চিরচেনা নদী
যা চঞ্চল হাসির মতো বয়ে চলে।
আমি শুনতে চাই
চেনা মানুষের কণ্ঠস্বরে
বলা কোনো গল্পকথা
যেখানে সময় থমকে থাকে।

প্রকৃতির প্রাণবন্ত রঙ মেখে,
লাল নীল শব্দের অলংকারে
অজস্র কবিতা রাখি লিখে!
কবিতার শরীর জুড়ে
ছড়িয়ে পড়ে উষ্ণতা!
রঙিন সাজে সুসজ্জিত
নির্মল ছন্দের বিমোহিত ছোঁয়া।
মুক্ত বিহঙ্গের মতো
প্রাণ চঞ্চলময় হৃদয়,
শব্দের মনকাড়া মায়ার টানে
শিহরণ জাগে প্রাণে।
