As I gently sway (an original poem)
The rocking of this tepid ocean
Seemingly without ever ceasing motion
I sit within, and gently sway to its embrace
Life slows down, no longer such a race
The rocking of this tepid bath
Basking in the aftermath
Its motion ever flowing on
This graceful, lilting swan
She needs our love, she needs peace
An end to isotopes and grease
Fair our mother well, in this time of need
Spread the word, plant a seed
The ocean she lie dying, true indeed
Poisoned viciously by all our human greed
This lovely matriarch of earth is hurt
This knowledge, elites seek to divert
Spilling blood on land, shedding oil at sea
When she's gone, what will be left for you and me?
Let's clean her, nurture her, for as I gently sway
I can see there is a solution, surely, another way
