Winter's Poetic Messenger ~ Day 4

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)

Winter is a time of reflection. It's a time when the universe is calling for us to collect our scattered energies and return to our center, to a place within ourselves of wholeness and balance. If we would allow time to accomplish this, chaos would be less, illness would be much less until we evolve and grow to a place where illness is nonexistent. Living a life of wholeness and serenity is doable. If we only knew.

Winter is also a time of reflection of visualizing and looking ahead and down through the months of 2018 and seeing how we would want the year to go. And making choices for what we want to come to past.

Winter is a time for just us as much as we can make this happen. Because we need to be able to look in the mirror and recognize ourselves and not see a stranger that we no longer know.
These are my thoughts and pondering that I offer for you to ponder or as a seed that will grow to bring you an epiphany of hope and light, so that in this year you may accomplish one, two or maybe three things that you truly want. Make the Winter season work for you Steemians.

Welcome once again to another edition of Winter's Poetic Messengers. Today in the Spotlight are the following:

@transcript-junky

He is the writer/author of what I would describe as short-short poetry. or flash poetry.
He is a master at putting a lot in a few words. His subject matter is worth the read. and keep in mind also that he is extremely passionate about his art and gift. @transcript-junky has captured my attention and my heart. If I had to describe him in a few words they would be "Modern Day Powerhouse

Winter is indeed a time for reflection on the death of a season, of a annual year and a centering on the past and present.

but, just as you say, Winter is also a time to look forward to what a new year will bring, rebirth in the spring and the growth of moving forward.

@transcript-junky writes with such brevity, the approach of condensing so much into so little is quite impressive;

i particularly admire the adjectives @i0x chooses in their writing. every word seems so carefully choosen as to paint a picture in font;

@lonestarpoet needs not even images for the reader to find them in his writings - descriptive and beautiful!

and such a lovely quote from Edith, well chosen on all accounts, Ren.

thank you for the share, @rensoul17, and always being a ray of light in the writing community. <3

Than you @carmalain, I like your curation write up better than my own. I agree with what you said about each they are all outstanding poetic artist. Thank you so much for weighing in.

i would have never came upon these exceptional writers if not for you, Ren, so happy you put this curation together!

Thank you @carmalain7 sweet mother Earth provides me with the words and images to convey, and only the keen of eye can see the symbolism :) I'm glad that you (and many other amazing people here on steemit) can! The trees showing winter remind us to hunker down and find the water deep using our roots....

Excellent, @rensoul17! Your comment is very inspiring, and meditation-provoking for me. You're term "flash poetry" has RESONATED with me on MULTIPLE levels, and SPURRED me to research this concept further. It's interesting that the word "flash" has multiple conplementary meanings, including the concept of the "flash" in photography. I will spend some time in my daily meditation practice contemplating this concept, and integrating the results into my ever-evolving work. Your "power-words" of : "gift", "passionate", and ""powerhouse" are MUCH-appreciated, and ALSO additional FUEL for meditative contemplate. Your increasingly thought-promoting prefaces seem to be evolving with each post, and I am discovering some SERIOUS "spiritual gems" in these posts. Keep evolving and creating... @transcript-junky

Thank you, just this comment has helped me. Your words are very insightful. I feel like you just peered inside of me. Your comment is also timely because the spiritual part of me is growing and creating in an entirely different way than my creative side with the poetry. I am on the brink of giving birth to so much more and I make intentions as I wish deeply and live in great expectation that all that I will bring forth will help many. I am also profoundly glad that my words helped you in some way. @transcript-junky

Thank you for finding me @rensoul17 =) You know how poetry just pleas to be read ! I love what you are doing for this community in general and for me specifically because it takes someone to bring poets together, or else we're all just writing to who

You are welcome so true, "we're all just writing to who??" I have been there so often felt like I was online writing a diary and talking to myself. You deserve to be seen by as many as possible. You are incredible. @lonestarpoet.

Thank you dearly @rensoul17 you do too.
