Lesson learnt from a sparrow | Poetry
Hello friends,
Photo taken with iPhone 13 Pro
Sunlight streamed into my balcony one morning.
A small, plain gray sparrow flew to the railing.
It stopped there. The bird did not peck or look for seeds.
Instead, it tilted its head. It seemed to watch me. I felt a silent message pass between us.
Its bright eyes felt like they spoke. They said I call things "tough."
It knows torn nests. Its stomach often goes empty. Every morning is a hunt for food.
Small crumbs are big victories. Hawks fly silent, Cats stalk low, full of danger.
Then it chirped one last time. It quickly flew away.
A small lesson stayed with me. This tiny bird showed true courage.
My own worries suddenly felt small. They began to fade.
The sparrow made something clear. It showed on that sunny morning.
Real strength often comes from weak places.
