Bunnies that lay eggs sure are funny
Why the candy and bunnies chubby
Is it another scheme for more money?

Every holiday an agenda to buy
Thanksgiving known for the black fri
Christmas gifts and materialistic high
List goes on and on... why oh why?

More money from donations and profit
Not just eggs, but delicious chocolate
Can be overly sweet and just as toxic
Might as well make a chocolate omelet

On Easter, I eat salmon greens and meat
But I don't really like eating gmo wheat
May lead to inflammation, sore bones and feet
It may even destroy your gut and teeth

Throw the chocolate bunny on a grill
Drugging you like a pharmaceutical pill
Yummy excessive sugar is sure to kill
Leading to zombieness intelligence will

What is Easter and what do they do?
Some people like me may have no clue
The delicious chocolate egg chick bunny stew
Eat and you shall discover what is true

What does this have to do with Easter?
Because people celebrate gather and feaster
Celebrating and listening to the preacher
Talking about Christ dying for sins procedure

Depends on the story you choose to believe
Just like evolution, creation, Adam and Eve
On good Friday; death cry and grieve
3 days later, the Christ Risen is believed

Study ancient stories of the Sun
Interesting stories of traveling solar fun
From cold winter, chocolate bunnies run
Carrying the Light for a new spring begun

Roman holidays whence they came?
From ancient pagans? Is it the same?
Perhaps similar history and names
Ancient land and celebrations they maimed

Who can really know from where
Except for the holy Monty Python hare
The flying rabbit that destroys beware
Those that remain ignorance with no care

Blasphemy! Some may say
It is the Resurrection day
Of Jesus rising on Easter day
But why the bunnies of chocolate gourmet?

Why does Easter date change like lent?
It follows the full moon complete percent
What does the bunny and eggs represent?
Fertility and spring the message meant

Some say, you heretics are going to hell
Which hell? The fearful stories that sell?
The inquisition history you do not tell?
Of those that believe not in the cartel?

What would Jesus really do?
