The Girl in the Dark

Hiding in the dark, alone and cold
Waiting to reveal the story untold
The girl who’s wearing a happy mask
Living in silence. No questions asked

She’s afraid of the light and the outside world
She’s afraid of the truth that’s about to unfold
That the world is nothing but an old dungeon
And everyone’s preparing for self-destruction

thee with a mouth full of poisonous ivy
thee who’s just looking at what they choose to see
thee who’s soul has been sold to a devil
thee who’s dancing in a cursed revel

This girl who’s living full of fright
The same girl who’s crying herself at night
In this world full of judgments and misconceptions
Swarmed with people full of spiteful actions

Hey, @mariza2017! This is a nice piece of art. I love it. You just slayed me with your words. I write poems too:) You should have this checked by raj, later. He does poetry feedback every Tuesday and Thursday. You know where to find me. *wink!
