The moment that they met he swept her off her feet
But little did she know she was set up to defeat
What a lovely man you met said everyone she knew
More frequently he used his fists to tell her what to do

This beautiful angel never knew when the next blow was coming
She was just so blindly in love so she stayed instead of running
Every night he'd slam the door and she waited for the pain
Slowly over time the intensity of hurt became insane

This time was different when he came in and closed the door
She knew it wasn't the same tonight as he threw her on the floor
Her head slammed against the wall much too dizzy to run
Still that beautiful angel tried yet not fast enough for his gun

I'm sorry for whatever I've done she cried out on her knees
With the look of evil in his eyes she screamed out baby please
What else do you want she cried I follow everything you say
His eyes grew black as he screamed out you make me get this way

Do not beg you sorry little pathetic excuse that I call my wife
You deserve nothing more than for me to end your life
Please don't do this she cried and screamed as he came near
I promise I can fix what you want and make it right my dear

You make me hate myself each day he said with disgust
I'm sorry I love you he said to her but in you I have no trust
I know you want to run away and get far away from me
Damn it make me yell again and you'll meet your destiny

Angel thought she had a chance to run to the front of the house
But like a hungry cat he pulled her back in like a mouse
You're trying to run away on me thinking you'll just flee
By her hair he dragged her and out came her precious final plea

You did this he screamed to her and she looked up at the sun
Then she felt on the back of her head the barrel of the gun
Beautiful leapt for one more chance to run and jump over the bed
But before she even reached her feet the gun went off instead

Too late for her now and there she laid slowly out she bled
She had become the angel she truly was except now she was dead

Remember there is a way out. You all are beautiful beings.
