poem 131
Nil sine magno vita labore dedit mortalibus.
Life (nature) grants nothing to us mortals without hard work (suffering).
Nature's archetype evil snake?
The monster of eternal entrophy.
Where only matter matters.
So, or even why, the Cosmic recycler of planets
And Gods
Made you exist.
Battling eternal against these vicious odds,
Bravely fights a Serendipitious source!
Luck! Perchance!
Unexpected happenstance.
The sacred sword Darwin so astutely discovered
Is mere random chance, his works insist
"Forget not: you won Life's Lottery...you do exist!"
In his thoughts never he knew nor saw
How correct he was,even at
The quantum floor
Quarks and such are there but also not
As us.
So as freshly hashed code
Casually thrown
On the Barbarous blockchain of life
Our temporary mortal home
Cannon fodder to the unknown.
If after an aeon or two,
Where sometimes it enjoys to go, Time
Will curve, expand, and slow.
Toward a too kind benign continuum.
A devilous deceit. A testing ploy.
As if to trick evolutions risky game
Hey! why worry, why change? ....its good as it is!.
Difference is death or a waste at best!
So Utopia locked in Amber long bled
Confirms the dinosour
Long dead
Then sudden and sharp. Focusing our fears
Data off the chart. Suddenly tears.
Time accelerates Frenzied for change
In answer : chaos and extinction
Vulcherous flock
Inside this hell small nuances matter
Tenacity is learnt in this domain of scatter.
But the math insists: Credit to life A.
Debit to life B. Double entry! It has to persist!
Those long odds accounts made up.....
You got through that chaos
You wondrous still do exist!
Onward 'til nature's next nuclear curtain.
So Amoeba ditto Mankind must suffer
Equally infinite malevolence for certain.
Next the normal coincidence of planetary collision?
Or by proxy. Mankind, life's ultimate winner
Snake seduced to the apple forbidden. Now sinner.
M.A.D is most mad you scream "we must stop!"
But nature is nihilism in big deed and fraction
And now as a God man can, too, do the Devil's action
Or say a butterfly fluttering it's light wing
Might tip that balance between Yang and Yin?
As mortals what hope? (unless in denial),
To expect exemption from nature's true trial?
Each long rooted genepool is a graveyard reserve,
The double helix history, that you rightly deserve
So through a priori genetic insistence,
Yet another battle of species existence!
Death, the snake's final reward, just a hollow thing!
He eats his own tail, as tales often tell,
As Evil, or happiness or indeed constant bliss
"I can't always win" admits snake with a hiss.
"You! ...nothing but a single twinkle from a distant star!"
Snake bites to test our resolve. "You are nothing, so whats the point?" More venomous spite.
From the grave your helixed ancestry crys
"Tell him to fuck off! He lies!".
Defiant in death. Listen to us!
Or subconscious wars can start in the mind
Negative add negative verbatum you find
Incestuous Chaos amplified of late
As a nest of vipers, All coiled within themselves
And smooth as cherished hate.
But lo! face your demons and they slide and hide!
Better still study them, fearlessly to learn
So grab them quick when they go to bite,
Better still charm them with a whistled tune
Back to their baskets, safely in sight.
Do your duty to push back (laugh too)
Mock Nature's thoughtless tyranny
With a thoughtful gratitude thats long overdue.
Dark still waters where monsters can hide
Is where we draw water just to survive.
Acknowledge evil as part of the game
Then go for good without any shame.
