Trading places for the brain

It’s maluable like clay

Do you ever dream–

Your entire life away?

The noise of outsiders

Singing the songs of delusion

I ring in the new life

With certain confusion

Never will and never have

Deny the future

Waltzing to misery

While living in the past

If you stand under a dark cloud

You’re going to get wet

From the rain of yesterday

And lightning of regret

The sun shines along with the stars

Your mind is a sponge

Let it shine bright

And take you afar
