a dark world
Good morrow my fellow steemians. It's so good to be back.
It's been awhile, and while I've been away I tried my hand on an old love; Poetry.
It may be nothing or it may be something, I'll leave it to your perception. Enjoy.
Toxic spaces
Flammable fumes
Black clouds
Slipping and falling
Flipping and tripping
Turning in circles
Dead roots and shrubs
Volcanoes and smoke
All is ash and desolation
Raise my eyes to black clouds
Tilt my nose for safe vapors
Vapors rise and envelop
Homo sapiens and aliens alike
Littered and scattered side by side
Some torn, some melded
Some limb from limb
Some groin to groin
And yet I gaze and sniff
And Lo!! A white light
A white bright light
Getting larger and larger
Clean air, getting cleaner and cleaner
I'm still here
In this gaseous, noxious space
With naught to look on
But rocks, volcanoes and ash
This is the world as I see it
A really DARK WORLD
