I Call You Mum.

In the hands of a stranger I found peace.
In the midst of the chaos she cast a smile
when she saw me.

In the twinkle of an eye I became conscious.
Then I burst into tears,
wondering what I had done to deserve this.

I feel so blessed with you.
you loved me before you knew
if I was ugly or beautiful.

Many times I kicked and played
and it hurt like you would break
but you never wavered in your love for me.

You raised me up, wrapped your hands around me.
I watched the tears journey
down to your cheeks.

I felt amazing, and I cast a smile back
and the whole room went crazy
they were like “oh he smiled back”

Why won’t I? when I found love in your eyes.
After all the pain you went through,
you still found the heart to plant a kiss on me.

A kiss on me
but not a kiss only.
You deserve the world, all bills on me! ❤️

The International Women's Day is on the 8th of March, 2018. All posts on this account from now on will lead up to that day 😁

Oh what a great poem. Am moved by your choice of words to describe my wife, your Mom. Anyway I'll wait to see words that will be released from your arsenal when you will be celebrating Daddies. You are greatly loved.

Your son is super talented especially with words sir. I'm rest assured that he would definitely do you proud on Father's day. You are so eloquent yourself sir, it's easy to see where he got his "gift of the gab" from!

Thanks @mosunomotunde for the compliments. Steemit family is such a wonderful family to belong.

you deserve the world, all bills on me.

Love this line.
Really lovely poem.

Nothing compares to the love of a mother.
I learnt to appreciate my mum more when i had my son.

The sacrifices a mother pays are unquantifiable.

Thursday will be a great day but beyond March 8, we will keep celebrating the legends in our mothers and all women that world over.

A poem for your mother and a flash back of your birth

You know, i used to ask myself "how can you love someone you've not seen or met"
I have the answer to my question now

A beautiful poem Fi. I'm so proud of you even though I probably have no right to be. You are proving to be one very well balanced man! Your poem for Mama speaks volumes of the kind of family man you'll be. God bless your Mum and Dad for gifting you to the world. Cheers!

You deserve the world, all bills on me! ❤️

Super proud of you @fisteganos

Thank you mama ☺️

There's reference in form of an allusion to the period before your birth hence- Many times I kicked and played
and it hurt like you would break
but you never wavered in your love for me.

Then to your birth period- In the twinkle of an eye I became conscious.

In the hands of a stranger I found peace - upon your entrance into the world, to you she was a stranger, but to her her little bundle of joy (without beards)

After all the pain you went through- the stress of pregnancy and the birthing process (Labour)

You deserve the world, all bills on me! ❤️- You will do all you can to make her happy.

Mothers♥️

You know there is a difference between a mother and a woman who just has children.
I have seen women abandon their kids and run after other rich men and those kids are left to suffer.
But, to mothers who are real loving mothers, they deserve the best.
Your Mum is beautiful, now I see where you got the cute smile from.
