Due to this lack of predetermined structure, the poet has more license to express, and more control over, the development of the poem. This can lead to the creation of a more spontaneous and individualized poetic art product.

we walked around the lake
so many different connections
secret wells of emotion
we kiss the air
raining in my head
in the slipstream
the world opens
as above, so below
in the mist
