Dystopian Woman

in #poetry5 years ago

A smile so fresh, one so new
A smile from tooth to tooth
It’s the end of the world, I don’t care
lock me down now, already locked in her stare

She quarantined my heart, right from the start
It tears me to pieces, when we’re 6 feet apart
Roses are red, viruses are new
It’s all beautiful when I’m right here with you

Your self-isolation, is like a living death
But I’ll wait for you while holding my breath
The affection rate is high here in my heart
You’re the epicenter, that’s where it all starts

Dystopian woman, won’t you share this nightmare?
Join me in the madness, full on, no cares
Dystopian woman, will you take my hand?
Guided by our hearts through this wasteland
