Awaiting The Tide

The West wind comes walking, and I can hear people talking

And upon the east my eyes are set, searching for the sunset

Dark have been my thoughts of late, if only time would wait

Till I grieve, grieve and grieve till tears are no more, no more

Beyond the bar, they say the grass is greener there, and far

Oh get away from me loneliness, get away from me holiness

Wherein the earth trembles, for my light darkness resembles

The wing of trees continue to blow, as sorrows begin to glow

Beyond the longest sleep, I will find more life inside the deep

A spread of ocean from the other side, I lay awaiting the tide.
