More human than most

His eyes are deep brown, so captivating.
When you look into them, they speak, and you somehow know what he's saying.

He spends all day following you around. His hopes are not to hear your angry grunts, instead happy sounds.

Some would call him "just a dog", but he is much more. Someone who if you are down, is sure to give you a good laugh, sometimes so much it leaves your stomach sore.

He is humble, loyal, and has a heart of gold.
We are grateful he chose us as his forever home, a place where he'll share happy memories as he grows old.
For our sweet boy, a toast: thank you for being more human than most.

Just a little poem for our boy. He stole my spot on the couch, and when I told him to scootch over, he gave me this look like, "but I'm so comfortable". And it inspired me to write this. Haha. It's funny, before I had a family of my own, I never really understood the bond you could form with these guys. It really is amazing how much impact they make on your life.
