Killing Innocence.

Innocence, I realize, is dangerous.

Hope is the master of itself, and light will shine no matter what: there is no amount of darkness in the entire universe that could extinguish every last spark.

Life's most inherent quality is that it wants to perpetuate itself and remain, it will always find a way to flourish again.

The danger comes, then, when life depends on death.

And you have to decide.

Do I die?

No.

But then, how do I kill what refuses to perish?

I look at it straight in the eyes, and I lie to it.

I corrupt its purity, and let it die... Let it die.

I let it die a thousand times before it dies at last!

Late, I realize, a part of me left with it...

How innocent!

Too late, I realize, a part of it remains within me.

Hearts die again and again before they actually stop beating.
And yet, they always find a way to bloom again... and again... and again...
It doesn't matter how many times they have to do it, for it's in their nature.
They can't help it.

Is this madness?
Is this hope?
Is this innocence?

How do we make it stop?
