Sunny Day (America Library of Poetry qualified Poem)
Hello, I am Zart a young poet.
This is a poem i wrote a few years ago, and it was among my first it talks about how we are changing and destroying things that cannot fight back. It is a metaphor of what is happening today with the environment and climate change.
Sunny Day
The roses were red,
The violets were blue,
People have taken them,
And made them new,
From varieties of two,
Formed into something else,
Against the breeze and there will,
All the flowers stand together in a fight,
Against the storm that's so loud,
One by one the flowers drown gasping their last breath,
Wanting to be like us so tall and so strong they fade into the ground,
The flowers are gone like the clouds on a cloudless day.
I appreciate criticism so do not shy away from leaving me some tips.
