The Consumer of Stars- Pivotal Poetry- Soliloquy Sunday!
Another gorgeous weekend closes on a poetic note!
May you enjoy the journey of our little beastie as he rises from discarded to embracing feasts of the stars!
I found it there.
Broken and dusted,
gasping for air.
Shattered and plastered
with filth and grime,
the rescuing of it
truly sublime.
Intentions..
Once so pure in drive,
abused, misguided
but somehow alive.
Wrapping it delicately
in ribbons and thread,
pocketing it gently..
Home to be fed.
Banquets of trust
and feasts of revival,
nourishing souls
starved for survival.
Given a home
and even a name.
Reassured thoroughly
it was never to blame
for the cruelty of others
and wrongs in the world,
for words spoken harshly,
or lips downward curved.
Slowly and tediously
it flourished and grew,
resembling something
almost fully renewed.
In my warm room,
in silence surround,
it found its own voice
in booming resound.
It thrived and found strength
in its own quiet resolve.
It shifted and shuttered
and began to evolve.
Ferocious and mighty
with lost concept of fear,
it began to consume
all that was near.
The home that restored it,
the soul that showed love,
the solid foundations,
and the moon hung above.
It fed and it fed
until nothing was left
and then with a whimper
it starved cruelly to death.
As darkness flowed and ebbed
into its veins
it was surrounded by stars
and the galaxies that remained.
Gapping maws gnashing
at universe aline.
Tangenting branches
slipping through time.
stars that pulse
collapse and grow
renewal
destruction
is all that is known.
Much love, @stitchybitch & @sammosk <3
DARK LINES..LOVELY
This was beautiful and sounded like it was right from your heart!
hello friend upvote me
There is an internal rhyme in your poem, and it's rhythmic, however the short paced verses makes it very easy to feel the emotions retching, I love your end rhymes too, this is beautiful
Your poems are emotionally fantastic. It is absolutely a taught from the heart, and has positive significant effects on the emotion minds of the readers. Please keep it up. I upvote you.
Thank you for the inspiring good read. The words speak something cryptic that only the heart and soul, in silence can understand.
The poem is nice, speaks about a force devourin itself. The rythm and rhymes makes it nice to read.
This is my favourite part
boldit was surrounded by stars
and the galaxies that remained.
I've been here a couple months and the insincerity is the first thing that stood out. There are people who share thoughtful comments and you can tell they're just trying to get a vote, but at least they put some time and effort into what they're saying.
The group that bugs me are basically e-beggars with lazy, low-effort "thank you for posting"-type content. It's like chicks fishing for compliments and attention on Insta, but instead of putting SOME work into a cute photo they just snap a pic of themselves laying in bed, messed up hair and face pushed back showing off the double chin.
