Gingerbread Girl - Santa's Favorite [Poem]
Gingerbread Girl - Santa's Choice
by @kingsright
Once there was a plain gingerbread cookie...
She hated being just round.
If she had arms she would wave them,
Frantically up and down.
Legs were something else. . .
But they would certainly do,
For kicking and jumping,
and playing Kung-Fu.
And with some gumdrops,
A pair to spot her kind.
She could follow the other gingerbreads
Instead of left behind.
But she needed a sweet mouth
So she could ask the real reason
Why her baker maker
Passed her by this season
But truly unfortunate,
to her dismay
Such bodies were only given
To little gingermen this day. . . .
Now it was that special time,
She laid upon the plate
Santa chose her anyway
He ate, and ate, and ate.
