Will pixel-art die one day?
This post is inspired by awesome genre in art called pixel-art. Artists in this genre are using pixels to create beautiful pictures, portrets or characters for games.
Great artists of the past drew legend games, like Zelda or Final Fantasy, in pixel-art. But today because of vector and 3d-graphics games forgot about pixel-art. Will pixels be dead soon?
Seems like not really soon. Pixel-art graphic is much more detailed that vector. Pixels let you imagine and then draw everything you want. Vector is too simple for some ideas. Vector is good for drawing something made of plastic — it's too smooth. Despite that pixel-art is much hard-to-make because of little size, pixels will live forever.
I think that pixel-art will die only with all the humanity. What about you, dear reader?
I hope not. You know, there are so many types of people that enjoys graphics nowadays in so many ways that I think the battle is not lost.
I saw that there aren't any major markets for films, animations, web graphics, etc. Everything has niches and niches. Niches that are sometimes more powerful than the main-stream.

Seems like you are wrong. There is an example:

And there is much more of them. But pixel-art is selling there too, so battle is totally not lost! :D
I don't think it will. I'm a big fan of it and I personally use them as wallpapers for my phone.
Wow, right, I forgot I can put it on my wallpaper! Need to do this :D
