The pitcher plant ate mice

These species were discovered in August 2009 and maybe the most carnivorous plant to date. It is believed to be the largest carnivorous plant in the world, able to digest mice. Scientists found it on Mount Victoria in the Philippines and called it by the famous nature animator Sir David Attenborough.
