Located on the east side of Changdeokgung Palace, the palace of the Joseon Dynasty, there was "Suganggung Palace," which was originally a small royal palace. During the Japanese colonial period, the zoo and botanical garden were built here, and it was downgraded to "Changgyeongwon," and the restoration of Changgyeonggung Palace began in the 1980s and has reached today.
It was built as a separate palace, but since it was built for the royal family to stay, it was carefully constructed with detailed parts. Enjoy Joseon's architectural style and beautiful lines. :)

Currently, the most popular course in Changgyeonggung Palace is the night opening of the Great Greenhouse. It is amazing that there is a modern greenhouse on the side of the old palace, but you can make pleasant memories while looking around the well-managed greenhouse.

In the past, the center of Seoul had many palaces inside the gate called the 'Four Great Gates'. There are small palaces still remaining around Gyeongbokgung Palace, the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty, so please look around Jongno when you have time.
