Photo of the day: Safety

in #photooftheday7 years ago

Finland is one of the safest countries. Actually, Finland was named the safest country in the world in 2017. Despite that, my wife has this personal attack alarm in her handbag wherever she goes. When you push the button, it keeps a quite loud noise (120dB) and sprays something that irritates eyes for 3-5 minutes. It also sprays red colour to the attacker´s face, so he/she can be recognized later. Luckily, she has never used it in real action. I think it´s a good backup just in case and it makes her feel a little bit more safer when walking alone in a quiet area.

What do you think this kind of alarms?

I've never heard of these kind of alarms. Maybe I should by one :)

Clas Ohlson sells these in Finland!

Good to know!

I have safety alarm too, I keep it always with me when I’m going out. It gives me additional feeling of secure. Luckily I didn’t have to use it so far. 🙏🏽 I have different model of that, I guess this is (relatively) new?

I think she bought it like two years ago..? It´s from Clas Ohlson.

That is real multifunction device!

But yet all kind of bear sprays etc are illegal here in Finland. I would have bought some kind of spray because I live in a middle of a forest and seeing a bear isn't that impossible here where I live but it turns out they are illegal. I can't understand why. I guess I'll just die when I see a bear next time :D
