Hutan Bakau Terluas di Indonesia

Hutan bakau di Kota Langsa, Provinsi Aceh, disebut-sebut sebagai hutan bakau terluas di Indonesia (boleh dikoreksi jika keliru). Luasnya mencapai 6.000 hektar dengan jumlah bakau 28 jenis. Berada di sana sangat menentramkan. Sejuk. Udara bersih.

Hutan bakau itu, kini dijadikan objek wisata berbasis konservasi dan pendidikan. Banyak peneliti dari berbagai kampus nasional dan internasional melakukan penelitian di hutan bakau Langsa.
