The arepa, Every time I eat one I can not stop thinking about my country, the one that is currently going through a difficult situation, if you ask me what I really like about the arepa I would not be able to say it, that is all. his infinity of fillings .. in this opportunity a PINEED QUEEN, Its creator is Heriberto Álvarez of more than 80 years and coming from Las Araujas in the state of Trujillo. The origin of the name "Reina Repiada" dates back to the year 1955, in which the Venezuelan Susana Dujim won the Miss World. Mr. Alvarez and his family had a food business in Caracas around Plaza Venezuela, and in honor of Susana's achievement they dressed a queen girl. This attracted the attention of Susana Dujim's dad who happened to be passing by the shop and curiously asked what was the girl doing there. When he found out, he said that he was Susana's father and that he would take his daughter to lunch at the Álvarez store. When presenting the roasted arepa with the filling of chicken and avocado in honor of her they called her "the queen" and as the curvilinear women of that time they were called "pepiadas" she became the last name of the now famous arepa. Here you can see in other countries other denominations and varieties of the Arepa: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arepa
