RED DUNES OF VILANCULOS Mozambique

When your work week has been crazy and you need to get away from the rush and chaos of your busy life, there is no better place to go than nature. We lived in Mozambique for 7 years and spent 2 of those years in a small town smack dab on the Indian ocean.

To give you a brief description of the pictures I will start by saying that this place in Vilanculos Mozambique is incredible. The red dunes drop down to the blue Indian Ocean. My kids were bounding as they ran down the hill. I was actually pretty nervous that they would pick up to much speed and fall flat on there faces.

Its remarkable and so very important to take a break from your crazy 9-5 lifestyle and just BE for one moment. We worked as missionaries with churches in Africa. Our organization helped others with clean drinking water and school uniforms and it was very fulfilling but took a toll on us at the same time. Sometimes we just needed to be still, take a walk in nature and breathe. There is a word in the bible called SELAH. It reminds us to be still and reflect. That is what we did this day.
