Free Alternatives for Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom

1. RAW Therapee

This program is genius. For the fact that it is actually free it comes along with great features. You can correct the curves, saturation, nearly everthing you would like to correct, like in Lightroom. It is also available for linux and works with Multi-threaded algorithms for high performance on any pc.

The Design is strongly oriented on the one of Lightroom. Clean, minimalistic, but effective.

2. darktable

darktable is an open source program that has also interesting features. The workflow is petty similar to that from lightroom, so it should be easy to anyone to get started. You can edit raw pictures and use all the tools that are in expensive picture programs.
