Jaffa | Israel
Heyy friends 👋🏻❤️
Today I want to tell you a bit about Jaffa. Also was known as Yafo, it is the ancient port city out of which Tel Aviv has now grown. Jaffa has, in recent years, like much of South Tel Aviv, been reinvigorated with the old narrow streets and courtyards becoming another highly desirable part of Tel Aviv’s urban tapestry. You will adore wandering around Jaffa’s winding alleyways filled with historic stone buildings, art galleries, mosques, churches, and the Port. One of my favorite things about this beautiful ancient city is the doors. Each one is so unique and different.
Hope you enjoy my photos!! Please leave feedback, negative/positive :)
Just loved this pop of color
Loved the detailing on the arch here
A beautiful example of the alleyways in Jaffa
The greenery here just makes my heart so happy (I love plants)
I was captivated by all the colors and textures here
Loved how the greenery really pops against this red door
The Great Jaffa Mosque or Mahmoudia Mosque. It was restored in 1820 by Mahmoud Abu-Nabut, the local Ottoman ruler who rebuilt Jaffa that we see today after Napoleon destroyed the city.
The detailing on the door and arch are just magical.
I loved how different and industrial this door seemed compared to everything around it.
Shot of the ocean by Jaffa Port.
The colors on this directory drew me in, had to capture it.
I absolutely love this blue color that is all over Jaffa, and the pigeons lined up on top just right, made for a perfect shot.
Loved this bench so much I made my friend Michael sit for a photo 🙈
The street art in Israel is phenomenal. One of my favorites.
The habibis and I 😊 We ended up going on a photography tour.
We ended our tour with some delicious shakshuka at Dr. Shakshuka.
They included this incredible soft loaf of bread and pickled veggies to go with the shakshuka. So so good! 🤤
Looks like the habibis are really enjoying 😉
Obligatory handstand photo
Wishing you all a beautiful day ✨💛
