Messing around with exposure.steemCreated with Sketch.

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

On getting some constructive criticism on my last pictures outside, I've decided to work some more on how I change settings when I take pictures. Here are some examples.

Too much exposure

This photo is an example of using too high of an exposure in a photo. It's far too bright and the shadows are under pronounced.

Correct Exposure

This is what I believe to be a correct usage of exposure. It properly represents all of the colors in the photograph and the shadows are nicely balanced with light.

Too Little Exposure

This photo was taken with not enough exposure. Even though the Sun provides a good amount of natural light, the shadows in this picture are too pronounced and the colors are too darkened.

Hope you enjoyed the post! If you have any suggestions or questions (I am by no means a professional, and I accept any constructive criticism!) I know photography doesn't lend itself easily to daily posting, but I will try to throw in some mainly text posts daily talking about photography, gaming or anything in general! Have a good week :)
